kenya recap

After an amazing time in Kenya, I have arrived in Ethiopia where I will be until December.  Because Kenya resonated with me so deeply it is important for me to take sometime to process it with all of you before I jump into my Ethiopian adventures…

Myself and some others from Port City Community Church spent a little over a week working in a rehabilitation center outside of Nakuru, Kenya.  You can read the amazing story about it here.  The center, which rests in the middle of a valley, is filled with former street kids who only knew a life of gangs, sniffing glue and stealing.  After seeing where they came from, an experience I will share with you soon, and knowing some to be true orphans, their presence brought more joy to my heart than I was able to contain.  Among many amazing letters I received, is one from my friend Jeremy.  I was not allowed to read it until I left, but it is written in my journal and I want to share it with you…Europe= Ethiopia but word for word and letter for letter…
